OK, now explain Bill, just how you plan on sealing the intercooler pipes that exit the LIM :?:

I see the holes you drilled. Are they for setscrews? Did you use an O-ring?......or a compression seal?
Remember...any unmetered air and you could have a KaBoom on your hands

Paul, the slotted plugs seal the top holes. Yes, they'll be sealed themselves also. The pipes exiting the LIM will also be sealed. Both will be sealed in such a manner that there will be no leaks, even under boost. We're only talking 15psi here.

The holes in the end of the LIM were machined in a taper, larger ouside, smaller inside the LIM. If you know your pressure differentials and PSI, you can figure it out from there.

Ahhhhh, now I see. Very clever.

That piece you added inside the LIM. I assume it is for seating the exchanger core level. Is it simply siliconed in place :?: ........or is that JB weld?

27B adhesive sealant. Brutally strong stuff and impervious to anything that would ever be in the LIM (PCV, EGR, fuel reversion, etc). It'* bound in. Look at it again, and you'll see the slots to bind it. (the orange stuff I like so much and use on the bypass fittings for safety). Don't use this stuff in the LIM valley on the gaskets. It takes 60-grit to get it off.

Yes, it holds the core level at that end. It'* adhered in place, then sealed around the perimeter. Before the core is set permanently, holes will be drilled in the top of it to bind it to the core return fitting.

My flow switch (safety) should be here today, and my LIM temp sender and gauge arrive Saturday. Very very close.......

Pmom, we're still waiting for YOUR parts.

That'* the big one on the list, and we haven't done it. Need 3 or 4 hours on that one.

This afternoon (shortly) we'll be setting the final fitting angles and doing the final soldering and sealing. Top end gets bolted up at that point (after we leak-test things off the car).

I got my flowswitch today also, and found out my temp sender and gauge have been shipped. I'm running the signal (sensor) wire for the temp gauge through the normally closed (with flow) contacts of the flow switch, so if there'* no flow, I get an open circuit warning on the gauge (flashing). Good indication of a problem without adding a light.

Won't be a problem with determining LIM temps without the IC, as long as I flip the switch on the pump DURING a WOT run. I'll get a couple seconds of the peak temp, then it'll cool down.

Well Bill, please don't expect MY parts anytime soon. I have a few things happening here that have kind of taken the front seat.......Like having to order a new washer and dryer, like my hamstring being torn, and being on crutches, Jessica getting the flu, and trying to get a paper done for my course this weekend, and the printer not working right, and of course still working, laundry and cleaning house.........So you see, I really really REALLY need my husband home.

I am thinking I NEED a vacation soon!!!!

50F and sunny all day. That'* the forecast for the next 5 or so. That'* why we were hoping to still knock out BoneEvil. Zilla is kinda blocking the driveway.
