We got slowed down yesterday by a couple side projects. Painting a new mirror for Satan Cat'* Mom, and doing an emergency trans fluid change on Kim'* (lilpooky) Kia.
Linda is the owner of Satan Cat for those that remember the nasty beast from last winter, and one of her sons was with me in the Zilla when the piston popped. Good friends. Glad to help 'em out with a fun little side job.
Just about done under here. Just the axle and the downpipe bolts to do. This new dogbone finishes off my mounts. There'* no mount on this motor now over 2,000 miles:
The only mods so far installed are the oil pressure kit and false knock kit. (and something else nobody knows about yet). Much more to come. I'm aching pretty bad today. Pdad will probably save my butt on a few other things today. My old back injury is haunting me.
The whole gang was absolutely invaluable during this meet. Our plan was to MAYBE pull the motor as a last-minute thing if we had time, but we got much much more accomplished.

Looking great. You never cease to amaze me in your work.
Uhmm.... WOW. Now I know what my clunking is when accelerating and letting off, my dogbone mount is **** compared to your new one.

She had a Neon.....killed it good (rolled several times). Now a Kia, soon to be replaced by something nicer when she graddiates from HS in the spring. She'* had a good job at the country club, so she'll do ok with a newer or new car.
Pmom, your charming hubby is saving my arse today. Each successive day so far has been worse and worse on my busted up back, and today, he'* doing all the underwork, stretch work, etc. I'm banished to the workbench standing upright work.
Axle is in, hub is back on. Rear EM is in, bolted to the DP. Car is on all 4 shoes now. Pdad just finished putting the rear valvetrain together, and is getting ready to put the new valvecover on back there.
I'm working on the final IC fittings and the LIM at the bench. If this wasn't an intercooled top end, we'd be done in a couple hours and firing the car.

Oh, Bill stayed home. Couldn't move very well this morning, eh?
He'll work tomorrow, but she'* almost back together now.
I got really freaked out after bolting in the rear rocker arms and finding them at odd angles. Thought I was going to be fired for it until I found out that'* normal for the Series 1.
