Final update on the weekend, regarding my SLEeper.
We found a rotten/cracked/disconnected vacuum tube going to my shift modulator yesterday. The car also had a weak battery. I cut a new piece of tubing for the modulator yesterday, and after John and Shadd headed for home, I topped off the water in the failing battery with Dasani (from the refridgerator) as it was the best I had.
Charged her up, and she started fine this morning. A little long on cranking, but she went. Brought me to work in fine form, with predictable smooth shifts (way too soft in comparision to the Zilla, but great shifts considering the 120k on this trans). Not making nearly as much torque converter noise in park or neutral now. Odd that the modulator was inducing trans noise?
Anyway, things look good here. A new battery and she should be good for awhile longer. The trans is still not PERFECT in my eyes, but acceptable at this point is better than what it was looking like not too long ago.

Boosty, send out a new VC retainer at your convenience. I probably have something to repay you with. Saves me paying stupid money at the dealer for it. Or just bring one or two out to WCBF. She'* not leaking oil, and she'* proud as hell to have donated an organ for the cause of getting Shadd'* car home in good shape.

And get me home it did. Checked under the hood this morning, found a wire that connects to the boost bypass unhooked, hooked it back up, and I'm back up to full boost. And for some odd reason, no KR! And it smokes'em just fine
