loooong4 how did you cut the mesh??? just use a pair of tin snips? I have mesh in my lower grille but i want to do my upper honeycomb grille

That grill mesh looks good but does it have the same open area as the original ?

You wouldn't want to restrict the air.

thanks for the comments. yes just a pair of wire snippers. It took about 15 minutes. I made a template outta cardboard and set the cardboard on the mesh, drew around it with a marker and cut her out!... It shouldnt restrict air, the holes are about half the size of the ones on the factory grill and about 1/8 as thick.

I would assume that the air flow is less due to the additional mass blocking the opening. But at 41 degrees outside yesterday my engine temperature remained the same.
