Show us your ugly side
#22
I don't have pictures of alot of the problems on my car, but here are a few of them.
the dealer must have said... lets cover up all these scratches with a HUGE dealer badge! (and it was so.) I found all kinds of deep scratches under the dealer badge. They're hard to see in this picture, but believe me, they're there, and they're deep!
Some wierd dent on my passenger side C panel
My "chrome" wheels are rusted
My hood/bumper don't align (they should meet each other and the bumper is WAY too far forward!
On the fart right side of this picture, in the center of the bumper, you can see two lines from a large crease someone put into my bumper from what looks like a trailer hitch! There'* also small scratches throughout the driver'* side of the rear bumper corner.

I've been ardently working to eliminate the ugly sides on my car and don't have much left, exterior cosmetics-wise that is, but here'* what I have pictures of in my PB account.
Paint chips and scrapes on the front bumper and nose and a small crack in the center of the front fascia. Note that the broken grille has already been replaced. This was just the best pic I had that showed the ravages.
This shows the slight trunk lid mis-alignment (that I just need to take some time to repair, but haven't) that is mostly on the pass. side. Again, note that the crazed cracks in the tail are no longer there as the whole center tail has been replaced with the BB Special light-up center tail.
This is not exterior to the passerby and most of you have seen it before, but it'* on the list of replacement projects and shows "the ugliness within...".
That'* about it... I think...

FINALLY...a Your Ride thread that I can contribute my own pics to!
My wife backed into the car with our Chevy P/U. The Reese hitch left a nice imprint:
Stone chips/paint flaking - driver'* side:
Headlight glass chipped - passenger side:
Result of my wife getting rear-ended two years ago (never posted about it--he fell asleep at the wheel on I-69 and clipped the back of the car):
Rusty door (they're all pretty much like this):
Rusty gas door (replaced 2 months ago):
Got too close to the garage door opening:
Cleaning never has been a #1 priority with the Bonnie :? :
How dirty it is now (hasn't been washed since early Spring):
Cracked windshield:
What was discovered underneath that cracked windshield:
How it looks today:
Not too bad considering this many miles (as of today):
It may not look like much, but I challenge anyone that this is one of the best maintained cars on BC. Car cleaning is not one of my things. Maintenance is.

Last summer I had a fight with a deer. I won
Right side of the rear bumper was scraped when I picked up the car. Tried a few times to fix it, but just was too big, with too deep of scratches to be effective.
Steering wheel had the color worn off over the years
These are only the pics I have on my PB account. I also had rust over the rear passenger tire. It was worse than Bandits. Also both my mirrors had scrapes on them ( no idea where they came from).

I have quite a few spots...the camera really helps my car out, the paint looks good 'n all, but i have rock chips on the front, scratches from parking lots, paint peel on the rear bumper cover, paint peeling in the fender wells, tar and road glue on the rockers (the reason the fender well is peeling, stupid pressure washer) and of course those wonderful ripples and dents in my hood thats what the camera covers up the best, i have pictures of some,
Parking lots:
This scratch came before the other two but wasn't visible in those pics, you can also see the road glue and whatnot on my fender well and rocker panels:
Backing into a friends driveway and the left front went over the side of the drive way, car landed on that and the frame under the engine (really close to the oil pan )
Paint peel, almost a year ago, its worse now, and my mosquito pool in my taillights...thats slightly fixed...:
The dents on my hood haven't come out in any pictures really, i have some pretty major ones too, it used to be only noticeable in certain light and angle, but now i can see it easily form most any angle or light, and on the passenger side there is a very very slight crease about door handle hight from the front to rear fender (i hit a mailbox, the first 'late' night out i was driving...
