I bought a complete 97 SSEi and intend on bolting the 97 subframe in to eliminate the need for any custom mounts. Some of the dimensions are exact while others are +/- 1mm. The tollerance specs allow for +/- 3mm so it shouldn't be a problem. Although there is a question on if the torque axis mount will bolt in the right spot. I also intend to swap the AC lines to accomidate the axis mount which will mean I probably will have to swap all of the AC components.

Keep checking in.
If the subframe is the same, or close enough will it will bolt right in Id for do that, the custom mount sometimes suck to fabricate. The front axis mount will bolt up the same, Id recommend taking it off the inner fender though, help alot when putting in the engine and tranny. Only thing on the subframe I would worry about is suspension setup. For AC use the LN3 compressor and keep it all intact and you will have to modify the bracket off your LN3 to fit on the series 2, and space it out about 3/4" but beleive me when I say it will be much easier.

I believe he is. I am still interested in the information about your swap and any details and pictures you can pass on would help out greatly. While I am just getting mine to stock now, I would like to be able to try the swap in a year or so. As for the swap on a 95, See if you can find a rear-wrecked 98-99 MC Z34 or Lumina LTZ and use that subframe. They have the 3.8 NA in them and the mounts will be the same, so no fab is needed.

Still looking for a weekend to come out and take that tractors for a test drive Bill. Just wanna get a baseline feel for it before you drop the LN3 into it.

make sure that you document the costs for insurance. We got royally screwed over when the bonneville got wrecked because we couldnt find the receipts for $1000+ worth of work we had done the year before.
