Then I also have a percentage of Reducer, and Hardner I add in as well.
All my formulas are weighed out in grams on a scale. I spent an entire afternoon one weekend experimenting with mixtures, spraying, coats, which base coat (black) to use, etc.. on junkyard headlights that I taped off into sections to test different formulas until I got it right and then did my own vehicle. I now use this formula in my business.
I am in no way trying to sell my services to anyone on here, I am not here tying to make money or be a Troll, and those members who have PM'd me about having work done I was glad to reply to, I simply started this thread to share my mods on my car with all my fellow forum friends.
If I were to have some other shop do this for me I wouldn't have been able to tell you their formulas because I would have had no clue, so what I have shared seems fair
I am not trying to be rude in any way, just having my special formula that I spent time and money on is special to me
Thanks for all the interest though! Glad everyone is liking how they turned out!

I actually did something like this a couple years ago when I was painting my car. Instead, I had used just regular CC with hardener. It took the dull look out of my tails and made them nice and shiny.

Legalities are always going to be in the eye of the person writing the ticket. I have never heard of anyone having a problem with VHT or similar mods. Young Guns. I am impressed with your work. And I frequent a lot of Custom Car shows. Yours is the Finest finish/gloss I've come across. And BASF Diamont is top shelf. We just finished redoing my car with it. Hopefully it wont sun bleach like it'* PPG counterpart.
Very small percentage of members here live near you. Perhaps you should consider mixing/selling small cans of it. Not sure what the UPS/comparable limits are for paint. I have wrestled with doing it for some time, and have seen some age/UV related horror storys firsthand. This looks like a good alternative.

He could ship small quantities. As long as it has a hazmat placard on the package, and if it doesn't go over "X" number of gallons he can ship it.
It may even fall under ORM-D. Steve might know more. I haven't updated my HAZMAT cert in awhile.

Thanks again for all the great comments guys.
As for mixing and shipping my recipe, I could figure out how to possibly do that, however you would still need to find someone with a paint gun.
May have to look into that. Would have to put a notice on the product tho stating that results may vary due to equipment, prep work, spraying technique, and person doing the work lol.

i was going to say the same thing it is all about prep and technique, and adjustment of equipment as far as spray guns all are inherently different and not many shops like you bringing your own products for them to use
