Can you imagine what hit the car? I see the hood is recessed a bit from the bumper but still damaged quite a bit. The previous owner of my car hit a deer, and nothing happened short of a hood replacement and a broken foglight.

Frank, I am a bit unhappy as, like Jrs'3800 (Don) says, the car and paint has always been in pretty darn good shape before this. But it is what it is...(what does that really mean anyway????)
Radomirthegreat, My wife recalls that there was some sort of utility contractor type truck parked across the aisle from her when she went into the restaurant. In person, you can see where the large rubber impact pads made contact and even the imprint of the edge of the bumper. Greyhare was probably right earlier when he suggested that they probably never realized that they just trashed someone'* car.
