Both cars ( Malibu and Bonneville) get the Mobil 1 treatment. I used to change the oil every 5,000kms ( which is what is recommended) but since I drive so much HWY miles they ( owners manual from GM) say that I can go 12,500kms per oil change. So I go every 10,000 kms and at the same time I rotate the tires ( also the recommended mileage).

I was changing the oil once a month so at least now it is once every 2 months, hehe. Was getting expensive.
