NW mini-meet pics (willwren, DrJay, driverjohn/driverEd)
Left Oregon at noon on Saturday, got into Tacoma at 3:15. Picked up DrJay, and we headed up to SW Seattle to work on Zach Odom'* 87. Back down to Tacoma, did some scantool work on DrJay'* car, then drove both over to Bonney Lake to see driverjohn and drieverEd. Got to meet driverGlenn, too! We swapped a 2.2" pulley on DrJay'* car there, played with the water injection, and diagnosed John'* nosedrive bearing failure.
Sunday, we didn't get started until 11am. We'd been up till about 4 that morning. Changed plugs and built another intake from scratch for DrJay'* car. The old filter was only drawing 1200 on the MAF at idle. New intake draws 1500 on the MAF. That filter in the picture below holds water like a cup, and should be a warning. If it looks like a K&N, it may not flow like a K&N. The filter in the box is the one we ditched. Changed plugs/wires on Greenzilla, too. #4 wire was shorting through the insulation, and plugs were fouled from the alternator failure last week.
Leaving Oregon:
Good company, but I didn't hang with him long. I doubt the #8 was in the trailer.
My car got chopped:
DrJay at his place:
DrJay in my mirror:
driverjohn2005 playing with my water injection tank. Dumped the fill valve full of water at 65psi. Neat shot:
driverjohn, driverEd (diagnosing bad nosedrive bearings):
driverjohn, driverEd, and DrJay on the left. DrJay'* car and Grandma'* revenge:
DrJay getting gas after leaving driverjohn'* place:
Tailing DrJay back from Bonney Lake to Tacoma:
Mt. Ranier shot while out shopping for parts for DrJay and willwren:
willwren, DrJay, and both 93 SSEi'* after a long day of tweaking on cars:
DrJay'* tail end on the way out for the last dual test-drive before I left for Oregon:

It was a light day. I had to leave soon after. Everything was a raging success other than Zach'* car. And driverjohn'*, but at least they know for sure what failed now.
Notice Ed with the Channel-Lock pliers on the SC pulley? We did the same with DrJay'*. I used the infamous "Woodburn belt" to protect the pulleys. Left it with John as a trophy.
