Interesting, how much of a difference could you feel in the performance of the car?

Hmm, the dual would be mostly looks, as with that much tailpipe, the other side will be spewing most of the fumes. But the 50 series should add a nice sound, as well as giving you enough flow for any other performance items you are gonna add.

i took the muffler off my dads truck....and i had it put on for 75 bucks....as far as performance it did a lot. It'* still to early to tell but i think gas mileage might have actually gotten better.

What kind of tips are those? They almost loot like some reactive tips I saw. I think a good looking tip would be the OEM Superchargerd tips off of an Impala SS (I think they are the same for the Monte Carlo SS). They would not stand out too much (almost like OEM) and look great on cars w/o the rear facia that excepts dual exaust. How much more raspy/loud is the Flowmaster 50 compared to the 80? One more question tho, What is it with people sticking there tips out flush with the end of the bumper?? It'* not a truck! But if I guess that is the look you like - then its all good!

What do you mean flush with the bumper? Looks fine to me. Truck tips are big, even if the exhaust tubing isnt

i've heard some clips of an 80 series..but i really can't tell...i'd say the 50 is slightly louder..i chose this setup because if i made it look like the SSE bumper..then it would be just like the rest..i wanted to be different....i don't really know what you mean about flush with bumper. The truck that this muffler was on originally had sidepipes..(87 dodge ram) then back to dual exhaust...the tips stuck out just like mine...the tips are pilot by the way.

Looks good. What is the difference at idle, medium load, WOT (stock vs Flowmaster in each category)?
Also, did you get the resonator removed?
I'm hoping to have my Magnaflow put on in 3 weeks at the MNCGP meet/mod day, and I'm contemplating removing the resonator. I hesitate because with the 3" DP, 2.5" high flow cat, and 3" inlet >> dual 2.5" outs Magnaflow Wide Open muffler will be loud, especially in the cold winter, and then without the resonator I don't want a burble that will be too obnoxious. I'm trying to get as much power from the car as I can with my budget, but I don't want to wake up the wrong people.

as far as sound ...the idle and mediem load are just slightly loud..it does seem smoother. I feel dumb when i ask what WOT is...i have no clue..if it'* wide open throttle(best guess) then it is more responsive. I guess with my intake and the exhaust, the lack of restriction with the engine has increased the accelaration. It does get up and go faster. My resonator is still there...but yeah..between stock and flowmaster...i'd say i'm seeing improvement across the grid.

Mom now calls it the beast ..lmao

Yup -WOT = Wide Open Throttle.
Glad to hear you have gained. Seams like more often than not, when a NA 3800 gets some exhaust work it turns into a torque loss. At least in this case and the case of the 3" DP and high flow cat on my SSE have turned into nothing but positive results.
