When I'm not doing "honey do'*" , working on my 1:1 scale truck or or any other priority matters I turn to my other "relaxing hobby" which is scale modeling. I've been building cars, trucks , planes or military stuff now for the last 40+ years. Tiny detail just fascinates me and learning how to bring these scale beauties to life is really fulfilling so I figured I'd at least share something GM related.
My 1:25 Scale AMT Silverado 454 SS:
These trucks have always been an interest of mine as they were a sleek looking truck with an out with an "in your face" and bold appearance. Although not fast by any means with 230 horsepower, they were aggressive looking, were among the fastest O.E.M. trucks out there at the time and they set the stage for the muscle trucks that followed in the years to come. It took me around 5 months to complete this one with most of the challenges being paint and the ending assembly of installing the body onto the frame. Along the way I added some goodies to the interior along with some wiring and tubing under the hood. With a few pitfalls to work around it was a good kit to work with overall.
You do real nice work. I'd like to see other stuff you've done even if it'* not GM.
What say you guys.....
I appreciate the comments and the vote of confidence Greg. I've got a few others that I can share that are still GM and then I may share some of my other scale auto builds on here.
