Nope, I sure hadn't. Question, does anyone know what is put onto other stainless steel tips to prevent them from rusting?

I clearcoated mine with bare metal aluminum clear coat, 3 coats, but they corroded right through the clearcoat. So i'm back to polishing mine with mother'* aluminum polish every time i wash the car.

92-95, yup.

I painted mine black for the stealth look. Truck bed liner spray. Same thing on my ramair scoops up front, which are made from my old exhaust tips.

If you want a brushed aluminum look on your 92-95, try cleaning them off with some Dremel finish abrasive buffs, then hit them some high-heat clear-coat. It won't keep them from building up soot, but it makes it easier to clean off.

Also, I don't think the tips on that Aurora are stainless. You may also want to throw a couple coats of high-heat clear on there.

They're stainless. The entire exhaust is stainless. The rust on them was light, it was only surface rust.
