I have Nokians for the Alero in the winter time, i think they will do just fine for the ammount of snow we see

Yeah these tires seem like there going to do realy well in the snow. cuz when i did those mud shot i took it thru some muddy spots on that road... and they grabbed the mud realy well! had lots of traction

Yea, snow tires are almost a must up here, unless you dont have to go to work in the morning, and can wait for the plows to clear the roads... that is... if it stops snowing.
I ran my first winter up here with "most season" tires. What a mistake. Next year, I made sure I went out and got deidcated snow tires. Made a HUGE difference. I had an 84 regal, rear wheel drive. Loved it. went everywhere in the snow. Helped some guy with a camaro up a hill, he was surprised i was able to drive up and down the snow covered hill, with a vehicle that was the same setup (front engine, rear drive, solid rear axle, etc).
Tires, man, all about the tires.
Maybe if I get 17" wheels for my WJ, I'll put some dedicated snows on the 16" wheels. Dunno, these General Grabber AT'* are servere weather rated, and work pretty well in the snow. They do have quite a bit of siping.
