I don't know how many people caught it, but I made a great display of how shitty the Gen I w-body braking power is on the way to Big Bucks. Got on the brakes as hard as I could, and because I had already had to stop fairly quickly a minute or so before, I had basically no brakes and pretty much missed the entrance to the freeway. (the brake fade on Gen I w'* is probably the worst I have ever experinced in ANY car) And, I had just put new brakes on it on Thursday, so they were only 2 days old! I was following Sol and was trying to duck in between him and an SUV and I got passed the SUV but couldn't get over 'cause when I got on the brakes it didn't stop, and obviously I decided it wasn't a good idea to slam into the back of Sol. If it weren't for a fellow BC club member letting me in, I probably wouldn't have been able to get back on the freeway and make it to Big Bucks, since I had no clue where the place was.

And then everyone had to smell my brakes the rest of the way there.

Time for some slotted rotors...

I had fun, even the 12 hour trip there and back had it'* fun parts(and scary). Making a big trip like that is a blast. Especially when you turn up unexpectedly. :P
