Bottom air deflector. Bought it new for $36 bucks (plus more than that in shipping) from GMPD about 4 or 5 years ago. Lower scoops raised havoc with it. Time to do a little reinforcing and other stuff. All low-budget little things now, since the car is running so well:
Slight Workus Interruptus for 3 different hailstorms today, thank god for a garage, even if I'm only half in it:
Got it up and comfortable for the work:
Passenger side done (view from underneath, looking forward):
Driver'* side in progress. Notice the angle stuff below, and straight (flat) aluminum above, sandwiching the deflector (say hello to my intercooler pump):
Finished front view showing my relocated ECC outside temp sensor. Relocated out of necessity due to the intercooler radiator:
This was reinforcing one side of the deflector until today:
Finished up with a first-pass of rubbing compound on the whole car. Next couple weekends will go farther, culminating in some better whorage:

Had to keep the hose relatively low so it wouldn't trap air bubbles during priming. When the car isn't jacked up, and I'm not taking a pic from the ground looking up, the hose IS behind the front bumper cover.

I used rubbing compound on some areas on purpose, but with my LOW power ROB (small one).
I'll use polishing compound with my big buffer later. Both cars. Fenders on the Zilla took a few scratches from people leaning over them during the motor swap, as expected.
The good news is this repair cost me a fraction of a new air deflector. And it should make the last one I bought last longer.

I went through two of those bottom deflectors, then I just ditched it entirely...now it looks like I'm missing something ad it bugs me slightly...but thats one of those things only I would notice, or someone like you who has had the similar problem.
I might have to invest in that if I ever get another.

It actually has a purpose. It directs more airflow to the lower part of the radiator. I won't ditch it for that reason.
It also gives me an audible indication at some places that my ground clearance may be too little to keep my oversized oil filter safe.

Headed off to the exhaust shop for some temporary resonator repairs (to hold me over until the warranty replacement resonator arrives, it'* a special order):
This should take care of the increasing rumble and drone in the cabin, although it was kinda cool, it was shaking my seat making me think my pager was going off.
Jerry'* new stock car. Brand new chassis and body, never been raced:
Hey, he got one of my spring rubbers!
I have two of these in the rear springs.....two each side. They work wonders.
Magnaflow, Magnaflow, baby:
Mangaflow, Magnaflow, Magnaflow, QTP, baby:
Resonator flanges welded up.....should get me through the week.
