Default How I spent Canada Day.......

Even with the rain, we had a really big turnout (48 cars.. when 25 is normal)...

(and if you notice there is a black 03 Marauder in the center of the pic, he was fastest in my class "ESP", faster then the Mustangs and the Camero)

Our club photographer.....

What Jen saw most of the day..... she had 'cell phone duty' for her company for this weekend... and she spent most of it on the phone.

How well did you do, the rain must have been tough on the cones

Nope... ran all four runs clean....

PDad.... didn't do too well... it'* only my 2nd autoslalom event, and the first one using KF. I placed 47th out of 48th.

My first run was a 1:52, and my last run was a 1:32.... all runs were clean (no cone hits)..... so I bettered myself by 20 seconds. Avg course time was 1:20.... but I'm driving a big car... and I'm still new to it.... and I had a lot of fun.

No shame in that my friend, at least you had fun and hopefully picked up a couple more pointers for next time

Autocross is a lot about driver skill from what I know, so you'll probably see your times plummet in the future Skill and experiencematters enough here such that an awesome driver could bring a Hyundai Excel home to victory

There was only this one point... where I was making a U turn, and the bottom of the "U" was a dip in the parking lot, coming back out of it was harsh.... the nose dove... and to the right....I thought I was going to hit the skirt.... but I didn't.

... and before you try that.... get your SSE out on the 1/4... I wanna know what another SSE runs.....

It hasn't got the happiest tranny and engine mounts at the moment, I'll stick to "yes, it does the 1/4 mile" :(
