How do I send photos in?
:?: Too many responses for me to look thru at this time! I just need to know how I can send in photos from my scanner and Outlook Express of my '64 Bonneville Hearse, "Bonnie" , and get them on the site. Address, etc.? I am just starting to explore the site which looks vast and fantastic and am limited in my 'puter skills with pics. . Many Thanks, Frank

1. Sign up on www.photobucket.com or any other image storage service of your choice that allows remote linking
2. Scan photo and save as .jpg of .gif file format
3. Upload to image service
4. Post pictures using the format
the "http://..." is the location of the image on the web. Photobucket includes the img tags for you so all you need to do is copy and paste.
5. Share your pictures

It ain't workin'
I tried playin' with photobucket and I just don't know what to do. No instructions. I can't get things to do what I want. Too complicated. I need something that a non computer geek can do. I can't even get the scanner to send the photo to My Pictures where I have a couple saved long ago.

Use the img tags above the window you post in. Use the URL of the photo in between.
For instance (without the spaces):
[img ]http://www.williamwren.com/bonnevillepics/rearsteer.jpg [/img]
Taking out the spaces on each side of the url would display:
Now right click on the image and select properties. See how it works? (if that pic doesn't raise some new eyebrows, nothing will )

Still no help
:( None of this helps me at all. It makes no sense to me. All I know how to do is email a photo. I guess I need a pro to do this, which means Fagetaboutit! Thanks anyway.

What'* the address of the pic on photobucket? Right click on the image after it'* uploaded, select properties, and copy/paste that address between the img tags. Don't give up! I wanna see that car!
Or email them to me!

Still don't know how to display a photo
:( This is still all very Greek (geek?) to me. I would love to put a photo with my profile, on "your ride", or whatever, but just don't understand url'*, image tags, insert who, what when and where, etc. Photobucket is no help to me although I have a photo there, I just don't know understand what to do. I need simple, as in "computerly challenged" help. I tried uploading ( taking a long time) a couple of photos, of other stuff, to Webshots some time ago and came up empty. Frank
