Wow you got that for a steal. All the SII LeSabre'* around here (the FEW that there are) constantly go for $3000+. Good purchase! That'* my favorite LeSabre style, too bad they only used the SII one year before going to the uglier IMO ones.

I scheduled a wheel alignment for thursday. It drives fine, but the steering wheel is a couple degrees off center when going straight, and it pulls ever so slightly to one side.
Saturday I might go junkyarding to see if there are any fuel doors that'll work for cheaper than GMpartsdirect.com (I know, it'* a measly $30, but I'm as cheap as they get. And I love junkyarding). I also want to check out what other rear view mirrors they might have. It'* got the auto dimming mirror, but no compass or homelink features.

Alec_b: I too think that the body tweaks that they did in the '97 made it look a bit less substantial, and a bit more feminine. As for them being somewhat hard to come by, there'* two in our family now. mkaake has got a blue '96 Custom, and he'* my bro-in-law.

I will have to look for that, depending on what they charge for such things. It does have a little bit of body roll as it is.
