Frankenbonne project update #4 It started!
I know you are all dying to know what happened after the valve cover gaskets this morning. We hit Napa for plugs, wires and a pcv. With all that installed here'* a pic of the wires we used.
OMG... I found someone to work on the motor with me
We finished preppin the engine bay and then started getting ready.
It'* back off the ground...and not going anywhere but in!
Lowered the car off the jacks to roll the motor over the fender. And in it goes
Mos... I filled him up with beer....TWICE!!!!
Steering it in
My buddy...is pointing at something...anyone know what it is?
Torque mount
Jimmyfloyd... you might want to visit sooner...
I tossed in the A/C lines
Someone hooked the A/C to the compressor underneath...guess those shoes
Here'* the basic look
And if anyone thinks we were slacking...we put these in too

Yes, it was a very productive day today. Engine bolted in, AC lines connected, PS lines connected, drive axles, front brake lines, throttle and trans cables, ect... This has been one of the first days we've had in a while that was not opressively humid so the work was pretty easy. Bill is a master engine life operator and lowered the motor and trans assembly in without even a nick or a scratch to the freshly painted engine bay.
We're were pretty excited after all of the motor mounts were tightened to officially say that there is an Series II L67 in a 90 Bonneville. There'* still plenty of work to do though and I still haven't found a solution for the fuel gauge/sender problem that I'm going to have.
Tomorrow the work will continue and hopefully we can fire it up. I can't wait!!!!!!

Someone please inform GM on this...I would expect a professionally written article about this car...it deserves nothing less.
We're talkin about a classic LN3 powered Bonneville now boasting an engine that was intended to be in a car built 7+ years later....
Brilliant! Way to go guys....what a car!

Also, I've never been very fond of the brakes in this car so that will be high on the priority list once the motor is running as it should. I could probably use struts all around, maybe I'll see if the 97 WSS will work with the Teves system...
I don't think I'll ever be "done" with it.
