He was showing us the PUSHROD being bent.. the pushrod goes into the lifter which rides the cam. The cam is above the crankshaft, if the actual rod had let go, there is a very big chance that the rod would have smashed against the cam when the pieces started flying around. Because it did not, it would be a failry safe assumption that the pushrod took the brunt of the load and the cam itself is fine. But without inspection it is hard to tell. Cams' are made out of some very strong stuff.

just got a call... dad got it running
2 things we need right now
oil pressure sender, old one looked to be like the light up kind, but we need a gauge one, could be why the gauge was pegged ....
also the alternator bracket is different... so i either need a GTP alt, or a new bracket cuz the old one is junk
NATE can ya hook me up from work?

nate should be getting me the alt tomorrow, and im looking on GMPD for a sender right now...
probably gonna do the 3.4 swap right away as it will be easiest...
