I know it'* a little late now, but it probably would have helped to convince "Pops" to swap the cam if you had some ported mani'* and a 3.3 pulley right there.
BTW, does the new engine come with the SC? If so you will want to swap your original TB and it attached sensors (99+ are slightly different IIRC).
Glad to here this is working out.
P.*. Got the old 95 tranny yet?

OK folks, heres what we got so far...
open top end
one of the good valves
the missing valve
LOL, the rubber in the wheelwell, this **** dont come out easy!!!
i like the look of the exhaust setup
and on down the car....
here it is on the hoist...
this is my dads boss...he pretty much laughed at me a lot for buying this car... **** him
more of the wheelwell...
supercharger, intake manifold and intake hanging out in the trunk
metal debris in the inktake manifold
the 3.1 killer
supercharger rotors
flywheel and such
rear
balancer (that we cant get off) and such
front
the lovely tranny just sits there waiting for its new mate to flirt with...
the new GM torque convertor
exhaust heading out to the rear
empty engine bay
rocker spring that colapsed
valve in place..
valve is GONE!
bent pushrod
look at this mess!!!! valve in 2 pieces hanging out on top of the piston
dominated piston
a little beat up, but doesnt look that bad
back of the piston
the screw was used to get the piston out, it was wedged pretty good
you should NOT be able to see the cam from this angle
block looks aight
how the engine will stay for a while
oil sump tubes were different from the GTP to SSEI motor
bottom end of the new motor
oil filter adapter were also different from the GTP to SSEI
my dad posing for u guys
shmushed spark plug
GTP motor in a BONNIE!!! LOL SOL
collection of junk
piece of the piston found throughout the engine
00 swoopies on the 95
my first mod
to this
as far as things sit right now, this will NOT be done this weekend... we have had to many issues of swaping stuff from motor to motor... dont recommend it all...
cam swap did not happen because we could not get the balancer off, and we know the balancer needs to be changed for the bonneville, but that can be done in the car if need be....
stuff that is different so far:
exhaust manifold
oil pan
oil pickup tube
oil filter adapter
take off the GTP motor mounts...bonnes dont need em
this is work from friday night and saturday... more work will be done sunday, but my new 3.4 pulley did not come yet, and it will not be ready anyways... hopefully sometime this week or by next weekend...
