Well I need to figure out how to make my onboard wifi card lock onto available hot spots faster. If i take a little time in it (more than i want to) i can jump onto any of them. I would like to eventually get EVDO or whatever the cell based high-speed internet is. I cant afford it at the moment.

OK here goes: Notes on the continuation of this project. The console will be painted or covered to match the dash, with a gray bezel finishing off the front of it. The radio is already flush-mounted. I am going to get rubber to fill in the gap between the ash-tray hole and my console. Its not too noticeable but it bugs me. The wood trim dash bezel was stock and has been modified to work temporarily, it will be replaced with a finished gray bezel.

Excellent work

I enjoy following your progress on this project, I hopefully will be able to mimic this on to my car one day.

hmm, i wonder how well that can be blended together. Probably quite well with some time and some fiberglass. Then texture and match with interior color and that thing will look AMAZING.

Yep thats the plan. I was hoping to find some vinyl to match the dash then i shape the box with foam like the dash to 'flow' into it. And fiberglass a front panel to match the grey bezel.

I am also planning on sinking the screen all the way into the dash, flush like. I had to pull it out because the opening in the wood grain stuff wasn't wide enough to hold it properly and i didn't want to hack it any further.

At the moment i have 1.5 of the three F'* needed in all designs.
I have the FUNCTION.
Half of the FIT.
Next is FORM.

As its my daily driver and i only had one weekend i had to settle on Fit and Function first.
