CAI test fit and other goodies
This is how I decided to do my CAI. It was the only way I could with the materials I had, and I wanted it as far away from the radiator as possible, so this is what I came up with. Yes, the washer bottle is gone for now, but I will fabricate one to fit in there nicely. I liked TFC'* idea of the roof flashing to shield the intake, so I am gonna do it also. I finally bought a K&N too.
Oh..... What'* this?.........

You have a nice spot to build a CAI! Did you have the large washer fluid tank before, or the small one? The roof flashing is an excellent first step in making a CAI. I had one almost completed on my SSE a few years ago.

Would the small tank fit in it'* place? I'm not certain from the pics. I have a small tank if you need it. Unless I'm misunderstanding and you're fabbing one from the small tank.
Do you plan on keeping the headlight washers when you fab one up?

I got a hard plastic bottle with mounting tabs I am gonna use. It is about the size of a milk carton, so it will fit convieniently in the spot I want. And yes I plan to keep the headlight washers.

Actually that'* what I plan to do, something similar to that. I would like the air filter to be completely blocked off from the engine heat as best as possible.
