Congrats on the 300k mark. Quite amazing for a forced induction engine. I hope mine makes it to at least 200-225k, I'll be happy.
Speaking of 300k, my grandma'* friend has a daughter that has a '88 Olds 88 that hit 425k a few weeks ago. She bought it off the original owner for $300. Had 400k on it when she bought it. Sure shows how far a 3800 can go. I'd love to get a pic of her Odo, but they live down in SC.

The L67'* from all years are really overbuilt, even for the purpose they serve...
The LN3 and L27'* were all way over built for the purpose they served...
With some decent care and oil changes, we should see a lot of these do 300k

But even for what it is, it has more than it needs to.... But I would rather have the L67 Internals, I would feel safer making the Horses with an L67 Bottom end...
But again, you have to look at all of the L36 Bottom ends that have been SC'd and or Turbo'd.... Look at how many of them are holding up...
On my 161k motor we need to keep in mind that my car had a lot of city driving...I will easily bet that 120k was all city... Start, stop....... Stop and go Traffic..... Intense heat... 1 Upper intake rupture... and me beating the ever loving **** out of it... So I would have never made it to 300k with that motor..
Now we have had a couple of members in the past that ran over 300k on an L36... But again did they beat those motors as hard as I did mine?
Travis has Hit 300k, He has a bit of Highway travel in there which is good for the motor, less wear and tear.... A motor with 300k can be as good as a motor with 50K depending on how it was taken care of and how it was driven..
So Cody you worry wart..... You have nothing to worry about
So should we take guesses as when we will see Travis Pull down 310,000 Miles
