Oh good. Glad to here someone give such high praise to this engine. The previous owner took it down south last month. The trip computer averaged 3.47mpg. He said that it wasn't 100% accurate. He said it was more like 32mpg. For a 20 year old car that gets 32mpgs highway. That'* amazing.

There are 117k miles on this car. All have been very well cared for and I'm the third owner.
Polished up the exhaust tips. I think they look great this way.
A couple interior shots showing everything working.

That car has tooo many buttons lol That steering wheel is very interesting looking.
I do love that HUD though. I've always wanted a car with one.
Those 3.1s are very strong motors. My parents used to have a 1995 Lumina with the 3.1..not sure if its the same one or not. But that car had seen its fair share of hard use. The alternators are extremely easy to change. I think it took a whole 10 minutes or so to change the one on that car? We had that car for about 6 or 7 years, and nearly put 300,000kms on it in that time. We never had any MAJOR problems either, other than the head gasket leaking, and small problems with the fuel pump, and the ecm (which was located on the fender ) cracked open and corroded. Other than that, it was only routine maintenance.

My GP had the 3.1 in it....it'* still going at 180k with the only problem being batteries going old...that and the time dad put the wrong transmission fluid in (but that was an easy fix)...love these motors although not quite as much as the 3800...lol...I'd say the best mileage that I've ever gotten, but too many people would call B.*. even though it'* completely true...

117K on a 3.1? shittt that motors still got plenty of life in it..i bought mine with 140 something on it..and drove it to the junk yard (toasted heads) just a lil bit before 190K..and i beat the **** outta that motor
there no where near the 3800..but if i had to buy another 60* v6 again that would be the one however ill prolly end up with a 3.4 DOHC within the next year >.>

i got around 300k miles on my 90 gp gt before trading it in because the engine and trans were the only things that worked, i say around because the odometer stoped working a couple years and i know how many miles i was doing it must have had over 300. never did anything inside the engine, rebuilt the trans once. always got over 30mpg too even truckin along the beltway keeping up with traffic.
