80 Trans Am */e
Finally getting round to posting some pics of my T/A.This is the first build from buying the car as a project, just did enough to get it back on road and looking tidy.
I bought the car in July '08 from a garage who bought the car to break but decided it was too good to break so advertised it as a resto project. It was bought new by a woman who lived in Canada and when she moved to England she brought the car with her.It shows 4 owners for this country but i think it stayed in the same family as the woman gave the car to her 29 year old son who stripped it to restore but then died, not sure how.The area that the car came from suffered bad floods last year and looking at the car i reckon it was caught up in them, there was water in mufflers and trans fluid was pink,i reckon through the water, but it works fine, there was bits of tissue and twigs embedded everywhere under car.I got it road worthy and drove it for a few weeks but it never ran good so when i had my lisence revoked i decided it was time to do some work on it.

Once i got it home i pulled everything out of the car to check it over properly. All the interior was there,it just wasn't fitted.

Looking at pics of floor it looks really rusty but its not,its pretty solid, the brown colour is a sand like stuff that must have come from the flooding.I have found about 3 very tiny holes on passenger side when i took chassis of to paint it.
These are the after pics.
I changed front seats.

Outside pics when i was using car before i pulled it apart again.
I sent of to PHS as i had a idea it was a */E but wasn't sure as it did not have Y84 on the tag, i found build sheet over top of fuel tank but there wasn't much left of it.Anyone know what 240 Canadian equipment modification for $4.17 is.

Thanks, the interior shots with new carpet and racing seats are actually from the second rebuild.I drove it for a few months with it looking just how i bought it,just cleaned it up a bit and installed the interior as none of it,including dash was fitted, car came with all interior bits just shoved inside.

Work i have done so far,i know the engine color is not to everyones taste but i like it,i haven't done anything to it that can't be changed back to original spec.
Still has scruffy valve covers on but i do have some new ones for it.

All these pics and the few above are from the second rebuild.
I did the brake lines and fitted radiator support.I have fitted braided lines from calipers straight to the prop valve for what i hope to be a better look (they were changed later for hard lines as pedal was too spongy).
