He drove 12,000 miles in less than one year (probably floored it the whole time) and is woundering why the the car is messed up.He did somethig retarded to that car and is blaming it on GM

I would not be a good employee at a dealership. If someone came in all out of breath because they think their new car is completely screwed because of what is likely a couple electical problems, I would first ask them if they knew anything about cars and then promptly roll my eyes. Especially if it was that guy and he talked loud and smirked like it was my fault a squirrel chewed on his wiring harness or whatever.
That'* why I'm an engineer. Let someone else have the god damn people skills.

I think my Bronco'* 302 idles better with a completely fouled (not firing) spark plug. And, has more power. And has 245K miles. And... well, is a ford.
I'll stick to vehicles with 30-40K or more miles. Got the Bronco with 46K, the WJ with 53K.

If I was the service manager and that spoiled brat came in my dealership and showed me video of him hammering a new car down the interstate blowing white smoke for 182 miles I would void his warranty for driver abuse, hand the keys back to him and tell him to get lost. Let'* see, the thing makes 400 hp and our hero/genious has already trashed the rear differential. I bet he pulled that thing off the showroom floor sideways WOT with smoke rolling off the tires.
Lemon or no lemon, you don't destroy a new car just because it'* under warranty. I guess that'* why I don't work at a dealership.
It would be intresting to hear how Caddy handles this one.

You do have a point.
I thought the same thing. If it was my CTS, and it started acting up like that, I would have had it towed right away.
Then again, he did say he had it in there many times before for similar symptons warranty work, so maybe the dealership was incompetent and this time he wanted it to die good once and for all. :?

I'm going to be a little more understanding. You don't know for sure he beat the hell out of the car. I don't think he would have spent the amount of money he did on that car to destroy it. And I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he knows how to drive. You should be able to drive those cars pretty hard without destroying the engine or tranny, especially in 12,000 miles. But you really don't know how hard he drove it.
I figure he had the same problems several times as he said, they never got fixed properly. He was finally fed up and didn't feel like getting it towed 160 miles from home, and didn't give a crap about the car anymore. I'm going to say it'* a lemon.

even if he did beat the **** outa it.. it only had 12k on it... that car should run great with only 12k on it even it it was beat like a red headed step child...
my dad usta buy a new car evey three yrs.... he would drive it till the warranty expired and get another one.. then finnnaly on the last cat he got the extended warranty. he only had the car for bout a yr when he passed...
but i would lemon law it.. cause even if he blows the motor they will only replace what is broke inside the motor.... i have seen it a few times... chipped piston.... just that piston gets replaced... what ever.. its all bout saving money.... yrs ago my cousin had an fbody and right before the warrenty expired he blew the motor.. 60 mph and shifting it into first, over reving the motor and messed it up.... well all they did was replace the pistons, rings, bearings on the 2 pistons... when he found out... hahahahaha it threw a rod about 25 miles later.... lol
ok back to subject.... still its a 60k car... you should be able to get on it and not have to worry about anything...
