i HATE those guys with a passion, they are so biased in their opinions of American cars... heck, in the four-way race, that young punk prooves that he'* used to launching euro/jap cars with 300hp and 100ft lbs, hence the out come of the race... but check it out anyway...

They don't understand why Americans like heavy clutches, massive torque, and plastic interiors.
They will never understand.
That 4 car race they did wasn't even legit. The guy couldn't even launch the Vette properly, and the other cars he raced against were super light and super engineered. The Vette kept up with old fashioned technology.
Think about if the Vette used modern suspension and light clutches, with a carbon fiber body. It would be a massacre for the rest of the cars.

Its pretty unbiased IMO guys, they dont totally rip it to shreds. Lookit what its compared against though. European sports cars have all the balls and interior fit and finish to boot.
The Corvette kicks *** with the 400 HP and 405 TQ in the new V8 designed for it, they give props for that. Frankly not much can beat the TVR or the NSX, it did be the Porsche 911, which suprised me. They also gave credit to the upgraded handling (despite the leaf springs) and its quick lap time. 1m28. something seconds.
I love the C6, but it wont sell in Europe.

Numbers:
TVR T350C: 353 hp; 290tq
Honda NSX: 280 hp; 240tq (i think)
Porsche GT3: 360hp; 273tq
Corvette Z51: 400hp; 405tq
from what ive read about the figures on all of these cars, the result of that race shoulve been the opposite...

And the NSX didnt win by much, in fact the Vette was in 2nd at one point wasnt it? Regardless, I'm not bitching about the C6, I like it, I really like it, but in comparision to Euro sports cars, it could use some refinement

a 02-04 Z-06 would dominate the competition... just wait for the C6 Z06...
i will look at the bright side when i say that on the little list at the end of the segment, im sure the vette is possibly the lone american car. the only vehicle from the states that i heard an equal number of positive/negative statements about was the ford gt...
