are we there yet? are we there yet? DId you know that Black Betty is the same exact car that I was in love with in highschool? That and the guy who drove it, of course. Hope you and my car are home safe and sound.

Made it back safe and sound.
The roads actually dried up and weren't too bad most of the way.
Couldn't drive faster than about 70 mph because of wander and wheel bounce. The wheel weight took the hit and finally flew off.
Will wash it up in the morning and do a closer assessment of the damage. :(

So I grabbed my trusty sledge hammer and block of wood and pounded it pretty close to looking not too bad.
The wheel weight is gone. I'll use a stick on weight or get them to replace those 15 year old tires.
As a side diversion. The battery died in the Jeep......Bill can remember the quick charge he gave it in October......so a new 1000 CCA Eveready fits perfect.
Jeep breathes thru a Cool Box also.
