Aloha,
Mahalo for letting me join the GM forum.
My L200 developed a lighting issue after sitting for six months.
I have applied the Rear lamp fix it from the dealership a number of years ago.
Ive replaced the BCM (once)
New Problem: only one bulb seems to be working in the rear,
it works for the turn signal (it looks very dull) and for the backup lights(brighter)
However it does not work for the tail lights or stop lights.
All new bulbs have been put in and the duel filament bulb is in the correct one.
The high mount stop light works fine as do the hazards.
The security light on dash is very very faint and seems to waver in and out in addition it was doing the usual bad BCM tricks of not going into drive , fuel gauge not working,
I've cleaned all grounds, checked all fuses, relays break switch and multi leaver switch
( which I might have to replace, as I'm not sure if its the switch or something else)
All help would be appreciated, as I can not understand what might be causing this (i am assuming the BCM again) Thank you in advance for any and all help. (I get very busy , 3 vehicles all need work and daughter coming to visit)
Mhalo Nui loa (thank you very much)

Aloha Cathedral Club,
Thank you for the message and the battery is about a year old, it holds a full charge. My L200 starts up like a charm and keeps the battery charged. ( Ihave a battery charger) started her up regularly , just could not go on the road as plates are in storage , it just has that same popcorn smell that is at a carnival, because when the BCM went out the last time she was like a one woman band with lights flashing trunk popping open, and the horn sounding off lol…I tell you it’* not fun being on display and the police don’t like it either 🙄😂.

Sounds like a grounding issue. You say you cleaned all grounds. Which ones?

Aloha all!
been so busy sorry about slow responses. I found a break in the “ raceway” on the passengers back light , soldered it and also look wires in the same connecter. Going to see if the solder job and tighter connecter works today. Will post results.
