Tranny problems
Well another problem with the GTP happened this weekend. I drove all the way to J-ville fine on Saturday, hung out awhile, then drove home. I noticed on the freeway that the car way turning very high rpms, no over drive. I took my foot off of the gas, the tach dropped down to idle, like the car kicked into neutral. When you press on the gas, it revs as if it were in neutral, until it catches up to the rpms the engine is turning. It immediately goes after that. There are no other problems, shifts fine, puts all the power to the ground, etc. Anyone have any ideas what this might be, or is the tranny toast?

I checked the fluid and it seems fine. I just find it odd that it showed no signs of wear on the trip there, but just didn't work period on the way back.

Gotta start sometime. That might have just been the time. Best would probably have a reputable shop take a look at it and give you their opinion

I agree with that.... Chase, do you have a scantool? See if the PCM is calling for the TCC, and what the slip speed is...

I don't have a scan tool, but I have been thinking of getting one, I guess this is a good excuse. The guys I trust with trannys want nothing to do with FWD, I also feel uncomfortable taking to some unknown shop. On the bright side, I do have another low miles 4t-65eHD sitting here on the shop floor.

That'* a good days work to "check" the problem. Although if you do find a reptutable shop you save the money on labor for them to pull and install it.
