wow the gaskets are bad
You may want to flush that motor and get some real coolant in there, instead of that gasket killer dexcrap...

Got the heads back today. Machine shop (*&R if your from the Sommerville area) said there were no cracks, but that it needed valves. This struck me as odd because the car idled fine. A bad valve(*) would at least cause a stumble. At any rate, I'm gonna bolt 'em on and see what happens.

Glad to hear you got her running...
What I caught in the bottom right of this pic made me think head gasket issues.. Glad you posted all the pics .... Were the reddish/brown areas on the head gaskets on the transaxle side of the engine? Looks like its possible that you ran low on coolant and cooked both head gaskets...
