Any idea on how to find a used motor for the gxp and if u can use different motors as long as it'* a 5.3v8 and it bolts up

Those are hard to come by. They didn't build many and are coveted whenever they are found. You'd probably be better off repairing the one you've already got.

I can't repair it there is no fixing to it but my uncle said who is a certified nys inspector and a very well known mechanic from wear I am from he said I could use a 5.3l v8 vortec motor in it I have found 6 of them

He said they are the same block just a bit bigger and it will work it'* the vortec in it that'* different

The one in the car is aluminum blocks. Vortecs from that era are iron blocks. Also the bell housing bolt pattern is different.

. . . and as far as "just a bit bigger", there is no extra room in there.

What is wrong with the current one?

​​​​​​No fixing to it it'* blown thanks to my family but I was told it will fit and mount so I'm going to try and go for it
