2000 grand prix stalling
3800 engine has stalled a few times . Will crank just not fire. Sat over night and started the next day. No codes fuel pressure good regulator not wet or leaking. Has new plugs and fuel filter. First guess was fuel pump but for 300+ bucks not sure I want to start there. Any thoughts?

Idid have a gauge on it and it did not bleed down. Now that I think about it it has only recently happened just after filling up within 3-5 miles. I wonder if it could be a venting thing. I never put in more gas after the pump kicks off either.

After checking for spark at one of the coils during the no start condition, there was none. I started flexing wires from the coil pack back. Then it started. Went back and touched the first connector back from the coil pack and it quit, and went to no start. Took apart the connector blew out wiggled wires a bit looking for a short. Then it started and have been unable to make it quit. May be good news or a fluke we will see in a couple of days.

Holy triple post .....
I think ToastyOats had the same thing lately. Might have been water or corrosion on the ICM plug. You may want to give it a light application of dielectric grease to keep it from having further issues.

not sure what happened with the triple, did it from a blackberry, maybe that had something to do with it. The grease sounds like a good idea I'll do that soon.

A lot of stalling and wire wiggling in the last week to get it running. Runs fine one day and then stalls a lot the next. Some times if I catch the stall soon enough and stab the gas it starts again other wise have to pull over to wiggle wires to start. I cleaned up the grounds and got frustrated and took it to the dealer with all the info I had. They have had it a few days and it stalls on them some days and not others. Today they got it to stall a lot and they think its is the ignition control module and wiring harness associated with it. I'm thinking they have a 90 % confidence that it will fix it. Any body have a ICM go bad on them and what are the symptoms?
