Hey Art, yeah sometimes I think too much. But I don't want heat to hurt the motor in any way. This is a straight on look and you can see where the new little radiator will sit.





The radiator will set farther forward than the other one did and gives me more room for an attached fan on that little radiator. You can see that the intake tubes from the intercoolers to the scoop will have to be lengthened again and then set an more of an angle. But that is minor.

Hey Art. I sat down this morning and wrote out big reply to your last post and in a hurry to get going X'd it all out!!!! Damn! Hell being a old man, LOL. I have a big annual all Pontiac car show coming the first weekend of April and a city wide cruise the next weekend. I had planned to have the motor running and actually moving the car under it'* own power but now it is too close to get to that point. I'm building a motor run in stand out of an old engine stand and it still needs to be finished. Plus, once the motor is out of the car and on the engine/run in stand, I have several things to do to it before I can start it up. It would take too much time to do all that and still get it back in the car so I'm going to do everything I can to get all the welds done and finished so I can present the car as it will be running when done. So the engine start up will have to wait until probably may by the time I get all those things done. I still have to get the cooling system all plumbed and working. Then I have to completely wire the car. I really want to have it moving a driving by the Fall Cruise in October. I'm getting very tired of winching it up on the trailer. I want to at least get it to be able to drive onto the trailer.
I still have to build a complete gauge and speedometer dash for the car.

Got the exhaust all tacked up and run. I have to shorten the outlet but I can't get it in my cut off saw at the angle I want. OR--should I just leave it the way it is???? OVERKILL!!!! Ha!!!! So far I'm going to run open pipes. If I get in too much trouble I'll install V-clamps half way down the 45 degree run after the turbos and make up new pipes to go down and under all the way back to the rear tire. But I'll wait until then.



Here I have one of the scoop/hat inlets cut to length and the aluminum V-clamp flanges in place. Just have to get them welded permanently in position. The 3 inch stub will weld right to the scoop. Here just one is done, the other is done but I did not take a pic. The straight black silicone connectors will be gone as I will have the junction under them welded.


Taking everything in Monday to get the welding finished.

Just once on the street, I would like to run here with on open headers.
Would not last long..they got DB laws..just for starters.

Turbos really quite the sound down, almost to muffler levels. Install a turbo and go sans mufflers. Just a little work, that'* all, heh!
Don't think I haven't thought about flame throwers Dude. Somehow I think they'd not like me then, HA!

OK hot side and cold side piping all done and welded. Brackets for the ends of the dump pipes are the only thing left there.





Blow off valves in place too. All ready for the intercooler lines to run and installing the Mini radiator.

It is going to be one sweet ride when you are done!
I do not know a lot about older cars, but I will be following the thread to see how it all turns out for you when it is all finished up.
