about mid december before the plog and i was getting about 7 to 8 degrees of nasty kr. I installed my SS plog about a week ago and scaned a few days after i was getting between 4 and 5 degrees of kr. It was about 30 degrees for both scans.

After a bit of thinking how I melted my #3 piston and I feel it was:
1. P-log with no skewing
2. Ported SC outlet where the bar was removed between the boost release valve (if that'* what it'* called) and the LIM inlet wasn't opened to match, creating a turbulant flow into the cylinders, which would cause misfire -aka KR.
3. Combination of 1 and 2.

Y2k, you don't understand. If you're getting KR, lose the 3.4 pulley. You're causing damage right now. For the PCM to detect knock and retard the timing, the knock has ALREADY HAPPENED.
We had 3 popped pistons last year. You wanna start a new club for 2008? If you have KR, regardless of the cause, fix it, or change pulley sizes to kill it.
Then describe this 3-foot downpipe and 'crappy' INTENSE tune so we can help you further.

First off, you shouldn't be running a 3.4 and 1.9RRs without headers, anyway. A PLog is nowhere NEAR keeping up with that.
Truth be told, with that setup, headers, downpipe, and a highflow cat are near-absolute necessities.
