actually ruuning a spacer/adapter would take care of that issue and we all know you can make anything fit s1,s2,s3 hell s2 guys can make a whipple charger fit. i mean i have a s2 TB on my S1 does it work...hell yea it does, I think s1'* are really held back by lack of innovation, and being the person willren is, if he wanted to he could build a adapter and im sure the results would be pleasing, less heat, better efficency, lower KR,More power the nose drive bolt patters are the same so that wouldnt be an issue. but ill stop now cause im probably off topic just throwing some food for thought

91buickman, you have NFC what you're talking about. Where the F*** would you put the injectors when the M90 is so wide it would cover the bosses in the LIM?

Bullet, the leaded fuel was a 2-gallon error by the 76 station we get our 100 octane unleaded from. It cost me an O2 sensor, but luckily I didn't have the wideband in the car at the time.

I never once used curse words or implied them when i spoke to you or about you that is completley unneccesary in every aspect, second of all how is the m90 wider than a m62 when the s2 LIM is narrower than a s1 LIM? third it was and IDEA an nothing more and actually giving you props on the work you have done on your car. so why was such a negative response even neccesary?

Buickman, the S2 injectors are in the HEADS. And the LIMs are the same width. I didn't use curse words either. Look at them. Those are puncuation marks.

I would also encourage you to do a search for new ideas. They will give you a great amount of information.

I'm a little frustrated with you for your recent advice in performance topics, and it'* made me prone to jumping you. For that, I apologize. I'll try to make myself cool off a bit, if you take the time to try searching for known information.

call me crazy but both LIM'* the same width? even though the s1 is a tall deck and s2 a short deck? with the n/a versions i do know for afact that there is almost a inch diffreence between the 2. Also the s2 injectors has nothing to do with the orginal idea of the superrcharger swap. and sorry willren but theres no way to search for gen 5 on a s1 conversion, so in all reality its a valid question and last but not least "puncuation marks" really............

Back on topic....

Paul, did you get that leaded fuel issue?

I changed plugs today after work. They all looked good, even though they were probably too cold (TR6). TR55'* went back in since I'm still running a HUGE 2.5".

Bill,
That may explain why my O2 sensor was killed last year using fuel from that station. :?

Back to my question. Can we run these engines without an O2 sensor for performance runs :?:

Not if you are logging data and trying to interpret leanness at WOT.

I mean if you are racing the 1/4 with certain fuel additives that will fry an O2.

Will the engine run to full potential at WOT without an O2 sensor :?:

No, your fueling will be hit or miss depending on RPM'*. Remember that too rich is also bad.

BTW, one note I didn't mention last night. My O2 sensor harness fell out of the connector yesterday afternoon while I was changing the rear three plugs. In basic terms, it was pushed in, but not snapped. I don't think it was making consistent connection on the pins, but it wasn't bad enough to throw a code.

Needless to say, the car was much improved this morning with the new plugs and plugged in O2 (even though it'* probably slowly dying now).

Analyzing this mornings vid for results........
