Keep in mind in that vid, I was kneeling on the passenger side. Set Barney, set the camera, than reached OVER the center console and 'blipped' the throttle with my fingertips. I don't think it went over 2000-2500 rpm'*. Smacked him good.
From a noise level perspective, cruising at 60mph with the windows and roof shut, opening this thing is nearly deafening. Bo'* ears pin back in a manner inversely proportional to the valve position.
From an outside vantage point (which I haven't heard while driving), two members heard it last night. Greyhare in his driveway (and as I pulled in and left) and another member as I passed the gas station he works at. I saw his head snap around.![Wink](https://www.gmforum.com/gm/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I'll get a better performance 'feel' for it as soon as I get my wideband O2 installed and start getting my fueling straightened out.

Looks like it'* all coming together nicely. Was it a plan to get most of the items done, drive a bit for learning and then install the cutout?

The plan was cutout and wideband O2 this weekend. Considering NASCAR is at Talladega on Sunday, I thought I'd better get a head start. The cutout wiring was alot simpler than the wideband (which requires the laptop and some calibration routines, and besides, I don't even have my pillar pod ready, much less the new HUD pod).
Wideband gauge may run for a few days simply taped to the dash. I really won't know alot about how the car is reacting/learning/fueling until sometime this weekend.

I know that you were expecting some lifter tick starting out, but we're you expecting it to last this long?
Nice vid, that exhaust note is killer.

jr's3800 installed his lifters (same ones) before I did. He still had lifter tick at 1000 miles, but it'* going away. Mine goes away on warmup. In fact, when I got to work this morning, it was dead silent.
I need to get a flyby vid.
BTW, Boosty, check out that GTP vid. Being cammed, your car should sound very similar with a cutout.
I also noticed that the Y pipe changed the exhaust note a bit, even when capped off or the cutout is closed. It'* acting as a resonator.
Me likey.

Redo? It'll go 50k that way. But it won't stay, either. It'* getting better by the day. I only have 100 miles on the car now. All of them did that on startup. This is the last pesky little bugger to give in.

But I guess it'* probably a little too late for you to take out the Comps and install new ones...
