Zilla's rebuild (exhaust mod revealed, gauges going in.....)
#125
I'm not going after any Series 2 cars. But I do have a target ET in mind. Just making sure I can hit it.
Besides, after 5 years of thrashing on that car, it deserves a little TLC.
Then we'll do some more thrashing.
LIM is sitting upside down on the bench ready for some hacking. Gotta match the new one to the new head porting. And some other work I've been thinking about also. But for now, the Harmonic Balancer is coming off, then the torque-axis mount, then the WP and Timing gears/chain.
Back out there......

Interesting day. Got quite a bit done, despite some distractions. Zilla Motorsports local got some work done in between.
Started off sorting parts for the next LIM. Here'* a plastic bypass fitting with a nice little hidden crack:
Good thing I have 3 or 4 new steel fittings in stock at ZM, eh?
Remove the RF tire so I can get to the HB removal? No problem. It was a tight squeeze, but I got it done:
How many miles did the Zilla get last year? Not much. This is tire debris from Woodburn Dragstrip (WCBF) still in my wheelwells:
Zilla Motorsports got distracted today. Did some custom intakes on all 3 of these. Jeep Liberty, Chevy full-size 4x4, and a Z71 Tahoe:
The aftermath of the above work:
Current state of the Zilla, and the next parts on the chopping block:

Yes. I have the rest of the cooling system (primarily the thermostat) adjusted and selected properly to compensate. I also run a home-built E-stat to keep the PCM happy. It'* hard-wired directly to the PCM.
