A little more material gone now. Valve lapping for the rear head is complete. Nothing left to do but paint this head, assemble it, and set it aside. Then it'* on to the front cylinder head.

Looks great, Bill. Keep it up on the second head.

I'm not looking forward to working around those valve seats again. I even considered cutting a plastic tube to 'buffer the hit if there is one. On the front head, I'll probably tape the collets up on the die-grinder and dremel.
I chose this pic on purpose:
On the intake valve seat in the upper left of the pic, you can see how close I came to goofing the actual seat. Just below where I lapped the seats.

I have no valve seals. Finishing up this one. It'* painted. Need to clean out the threads on the bolt holes, lightly oil it, snap a couple pics, an set it aside.
Front head gets pre-cleaned tonight.

Valve seals ordered today. Until they arrive, this will have to do for the rear. Sealing in plastic after oiling for the wait, moving on to the front cylinder head next.
This is the last of the rear for awhile:

Got my gaskets and bolts, as well as my timing gears and chain yesterday. Water pump is still enroute, but I still have alot of work to do before assembly anyway.
Final measurements were made yesterday on my rear cylinder head before starting on the front. Without taking into account the gains from smoothing, and ONLY the port size changes, I've gained 8% on the intake side, and 18% on the exhaust side. This is why I call it a mild or 'stage 1' cylinder head porting. Should be in the 10/20 range due to smoothing, as well as the work I did in my valve bowls.
