Something about those Riv motors keep them going strong. Long after the body dies the motor is still going strong!

Didn't include the SC, TB, or starter. Those are typically removed and sold seperately (unfortunate, as I'm needing another 94/95 L67 TB right now, and wouldn't have minded getting a spare starter).
I specifically chose the Riv motor (or a PA motor) for demographics. Buicks are typically purchased by more 'mature' buyers who tend to baby and not abuse the cars. Bonnevilles are typically purchased and driven by baby-boomers or younger. I knew my chances of getting a cherry motor were better if I went with demographics.

Very hard to find in this condition around here. That'* why I'm going to rebuild Zilla'* old motor for a spare short block. Ready to go in when I need it in either car.

that looks like a good motor you have there Bill
i never thought about the front and rear valvetrains being different like that but it makes alot of sense, granted ive never ripped apart a FWD engine
