I don't think you're allowed 20 cents around here - 2 max!

I think I'm going to go with the KYB'*, as they're the same cost as the monroes, but there have been people on here with good experience with them, and they apparently make things a wee bit stiffer...

The KYB GR2 strut is identical in performance and valving to the Monroe, and the Monroe Reflex can have ELC.

Just as an FYI...

I put 4 Monroe Sensa-Tracs with 4 new Monroe strut mounts and 4 Moog ball joints on my car just over 15 months and 11,000 miles ago. Since the pump was dead, the second one, I put in all gas charged struts.

I am now on my 3rd passenger rear strut, the rest are fine. Even still, the last one went in 2 weeks ago and I'm suspicious of the new one already. I think the compression damping is fine but the rebound is weak.

I'm not sure how much drag racing and hard launches effects them, I may have to go back to an air system.

Cheers,

good to know. do the KYB'* have an ELC option available? I think I might run with those, and try what jrs3800 suggested with pumping them up by hand...

To the best of my knowledge, the KYB'* do NOT have the ELC option.

And I think Foghorns case is on the extreme side. Haven't seen any monroe problems here other than his.
