What kind of a muffler would sound the best on my 1995 pontiac bonneville series II? Flowmaster 40-80 series I want something to get it as close as possible to a V-8 sound with a small expense..... I know the sound probally cant get near the sound of a true V-8 beast but the closest possible Thanks

I want it close as possible I dont expect the goose bump reaction (yes I do get goose bumps) like I get with an old car 350 strait piped or like a mustang givener with a flowmaster muffler and headers but something as close as possible.

Well I have Magnaflow installed on my 1990, Jim W has magnaflow on his Aurora ( V-8 and yes it does sound old school on that car, it'* purely awesome when driving), and smellbird has magnaflow on his car.

I like it cause it does have a nice deep sound.
Here is smellbirds car after he dropped us off when I blew my engine.

Right click and save target as

Here is my car on it'* first run after the new engine was installed.

again right click and save target as.

Now anyone who has herd smellbirds or my car for that matter, will agree that video does not do it justice.

All I know is that people who have gone Magnaflow instead of Flowmaster are glad they made that choice. The Magnaflow muffler used on mine anyhow was the single in, dual out made for the Camero.

Magnaflow. I've run side by side with a flowmaster on several occasions, and prefer the Magnaflow. I also agree, the vid doesn't do it justice. The sound qaulity is far better than the audio in those vids represent.

Flowmaster. I just got it installed. i have no res, 2.5" mid pipe from a 92 se, and it sounds amazing. everybody who has heard it loves it. i think cold idle sounds the best because it is loud and it sounds sooo cammy. i can try and make a video.

Find someoene with a Magnaflow and compare. Without a resonator, both the magnaflow and the flowmaster sound raspy when revving.

I made another video Friday with the Bonneville, but right now it is 158mb, so I am shirking it down, but I was using a webcam and my laptop for this video, so the sound isn't the best.

Just have to take the time to make a half decent video.
