OK, I'll probably go with the 80 series w/o a resonator, then if its too loud I can always add one, right?
btw, would you guys suggest getting a rice pipe and filter or getting a muffler first.
I eventually plan on getting both but would you recommend one before the other?
Thanx

generally i've seen everyone recommend the intake first, the reason being that from a performance standpoint you will not benefit from opening up the exhaust without first allowing the engine to intake more air to begin with. on a stock setup, your biggest point of resistance is the intake side of things. plus, if you're going for a more muscular sound, it will only be enhanced by having a performance intake in addition to a muffler/hi-flow cat. to just get a little more bark, go ahead and do the muffler first. but to juice up bonnie'* bite as well, hit both ends of the spectrum, starting with the intake.

Flowmaster 80 series
Ok, i just got back from the muffler shop and had them install the 80 series on my 92 SE for $280. After downloading a few clips off the internet, my car is WAY quieter than any of the clips ive heard. It does have a nice LOW rumble at idle but nothing like the clips ive heard. I do have Y tips with resonators, but I have heard the resonator tips dont make a big difference. So why is mine so much quieter than everyone elses? Im guessing its because I have a stock intake and cat, but do they really make that big of a diference?
Thanks!
Thanks!
