Upgrade from 4t60e-hd to a 4t65e-hd???

As I understand, there is a Non-ECM 4T60 transaxle, or they have been converter to Non-ECM; that has been used in FWD GM drag cars for NHRA Stock Eliminator. There are two guys that have built them and have held records with late model FWD; Mark Yacavone and Mike Senia. I do not know if they have kept the auto feature, or are manually shifted.

I'm looking into see fi this will support my transmission.
http://www.powertraincontrolsolution...content-4.html
They have my transmission listed in the page code, but not on the page. They also have contridicting info on the 4l60 as well listed on the page. I sent then an e-mail so hopefully they can let me know.

The 4T65'* seem to be doing much better mantaining pressure at higer rpms then the 60.

are you refering to the 440T4 hydrostaticly controlled transaxle? or the 4T60 (non electronic)?
The 44T4 and 4T60 (nonE) are one and the same. 2 names for the same trans.

I received a reply from http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/ and he stated that they DO have teh harness for my specific transmisssion and their controller will control all the functions of it. The only bad news is there is a 2 day wait to ship... lol With this said, I can stick with a built up 4t60e-hd (like theHD would actually matter any more) and not have to worry about a swap.
