If you're looking for that extra power and don't mind spending a little money or, like me, are planning to redo the ole 3800 then you NEED to go to http://www.SCPerformance.com and make contact. Although he is a Ford man he is extremely helpful. I am going to get my */C port and polished, new titanium rotor shafts installed and have it bored for a little over $1200.00. Not bad considering a brand new one will run $2000.00 +. The work is done by an aircraft engineer that use to design and improve turbine engines for Boeing. They also have links to an excellent engine and machine shop. Worth looking into. By the way, look out for a Thunderchicken */C with 500HP. It is a sleeper too, for you youngsters those are the cars we older people drive that don't sound loud, have enormous tires and rims, all factory enterior, almost all modifications cannot be seen but will leave you standing still. That'* old school!!

$1200 seems kinda steep to me. My dad paid $550 for his Stage 4 Ported & Polished M90 for his GTP, and that is from a company that has experience with our cars, not from somebody that will just be hoping it makes a difference because they work on mustangs and such.

So even with all the info we learned from Floz people are still running around talking about porting their supercharger. Will talked to several companies dealing directly with our superchargers to include eaton and magnuson and both say it useless to port and/or polish your supercharger. With that kind of info backing it up I would hope people would learn not to dump money into it, especially that large of a sum! Guess not enough people heard.

When I go to that site, I get some links to insurance sites and an ad for what appeares to be an import store. If I click on it, I get that store and another page with more links to insurance and a bunch of non-auto stuff.

EVERYBODY FREEZE!!!!!
That'* a REALLY old post. SCperformance used to be a source for supercharger pulleys for the series I guys. They burned Pontiac1983 and myself, and we blacklisted them. They were subsequently bought and sold a couple times, and that URL now points to a ricer site that bought the domain name.
SCPerformance, wherever they are, still owes Pontiac1983 a belt, and they owe me a pulley AND a belt, or my 100 bucks back. For your pulley needs, Pulley Boys are our preferred vendor, and we actually now have a rather close working relationship with them.

Lemme start by saying I'm not trying to slam you or call you an idiot, you really shouldn't take offence to this. With that said: "You would think that someone that is making 400 horsepower...with the stock cam would know what they are talking about" funny thing man, check out my rebuild, thats about what I'm working towards . Ok look all I know on it is what I said on it. This problem has been talked about in several forums. I hope Ty doesn't mind me quoting him but: "I have been digging and talked with alot of professional engine builders and well the porting of a roots SC is based on the same fuzzy math that requires massive flow to make up for the hollowed out heads. The more builders I talk to the more laughing I hear. So when it comes to porting polishing of your sc don’t bother unless you are bored or looking for another way to spend money. So far the only company who has done independent tests was the builders of the SC. They say it’* a waste of time.
I really can’t say because I am not an engineer, but I tend to believe the people not trying to sell me something. I was selling an option just like the option found on the more followed sites and well I cant do it anymore my conscience wont let me.
Ty"
And that, I believe, is a reputable company that sells parts for our engines. So we have a little conflict here. I'm not calling you a liar by any means but as far as I understood about superchargers the heat comes from the pressure involved. Matter a fact I believe its roughly 10deg for every 1psi of boost. The only thing I can even think is affected is that your not forcing air through the outlet as hard and the friction the air causes isn't making a tiny bit more heat. But how long can you run your fan before the blades overheat? Forever I'm sure. As I said I'm not calling you a liar just would appreciated clarification on how this would lower temperatures. Again I'm sorry you took offence to it

Yah, what is going on with the date? Is this some strange Admin joke?
Or is this how they say "this post is 'really old', don't read it"?
All I know is I'm laughing my butt off here!
