Well it looks like friday I'm going to have my TOGs installed
Don't know how much I'll be able to enjoy them though. After I installed my Intense FWI today and went for a drive I felt what I'll describe as a "shudder" when I was getting on the gas from a stop . But it was only when I was giving enough gas to leave vaccum and even then it didn't do it every time. :( Time to call around and start checking prices for a good rebulid

Doubt it, my motor felt fine the whole time. Just a quick stab at the throttle cause a shudder which I think was my TC having trouble locking up. It did it 3 times but I was working my car pretty good before this happened so maybe it was heat related... (wishful thinking)

Well I had my TOGs installed today. They fit but barely, the cross over pipe didn’t line up and was hitting on the rear header flange by the EGR tube. But after a little debating we cut off that corner and gently tweaked the crossover on a press to clear the flange. Other things that got in the way were (takes deep breath) Rad fan heat shield, AC compressor heat shield; Power steering lines just like Mike’* picture on page one.
And that little strut/ motor mount thing wouldn’t fit no matter how much was cut off the top of that mount; So I don’t have that on the car right now and need to figure out something for a solid mount there. Or just have some angle iron welded in place of it. I think the rear header where it meets the crossover might be leaking but I can find anything at idle (maybe I’m just not used to the new sounds yet). I’ll have some pictures soon enough. I probably have driven 15-20miles since they have been installed and haven't gone WOT yet I'm just working into it & trying to let the pcm adjust but at 3k it already feels stronger.
Also my rear manifold that came off had a real nice crack in it.

Ok Matt you forced me to go take some pictures in the drive way while it was completely dark outside. Sorry about the focus.
That is not any fluid on the transmission that'* just dirt from greasy hands.
2 Pesky power steering lines that had to be moved outta the way of my O2 sensor.
Better pictures to come tomorrow

Well today I had to figure something out about my front motor mount. And rack up more miles to allow the pcm to adjust more.
Crappy gas strut gone and the bracket removed.
Choped and Welded. The top of that bracket met a angle grinder yesterday but that wasn't enough :?
A few coats of some high temp paint to protect the bare metal.
You all should know these, I milled the tops of them flat and used them in my mount. I wanted black but the parts store only had red
All put together
Manifolds that came off yesterday.
Not so nice in the front manifold. I can't think if I've heard of any S2 Manis cracking like this.
After some driving today she has really gained a few horses My Exhaust note sounds much more evil. Even with my OEM muffler crying to be replaced very soon.
Vodka tonic to end a good day With lime btw and lots of it
