Thrasher vs. Intense FWI
Despite the fitment issues with the trasher has anyone done an overall evaluation on what works best on our Bonnies? I have a 2005 SLE.

The Thrasher has poor fitment.

The INTENSE FWI works great in all Bonneville applications.

Boott, can you put your year and trim level in your signature?
The thrasher is an effective CAI, but I think for the price, most of what you end up getting is looks. The thrasher retains the old poor-flowing stock accordian tube, and the box itself is exposed to heatsoaking in the engine bay.
The INTENSE FWI puts the filter is outside the engine bay and cannot heatsoak, and the tubing is much less restrictive and flows better.
From a performance standpoint, my opinion is the INTENSE FWI hands down. It'* not the prettiest thing though. So if you're after looks, may be you should think about spending the extra money for the thrasher.

FWIW - When I first got my SSEi (about two years ago) the first mod I did was the INTENSE FWI. With that mod alone, my SSEi dyno'ed at 205whp. A typical stock 3800SC dynos ~195 whp.
The 00+ Bonne'* are made for FWI intakes. Especially with the large cavity in the bumper area.
EDIT: It was actually 201whp. My memory is off in my old age. :P

.... are you serious? I didn't realize they would dyno that high with just the FWI. What were your mods when you went and dyno'd for the Hogan DP. That was your car right?
But back on Topic, besides looking like some sort of goofy reverse snorkel the Intense FWI is brilliant flow wise (especially if you don't have a 90 degree bend in the tube like i did for a long time) .

We ran the Intense FWI on our GT and lost .2 1/4time, we went back to open cone and ran 14.5s again... Same day after 10+runs on each setup, engine was heat soaked ALL day.
The Thrasher CAI, is the nicest product they have. As far as fit...they were designed for a 97+ GP, so may not fit right on other cars (unless they have since added model options). This is one of the only CAI none of our cars have used, but no one has ever complained about gains.
10whp from just a FWI-I call BS...... looks like you have no baseline to start from so that showing mis-information. I bet your car would dyno at 199whp or better before the FWI.
Hell my new (2000GP) dynoed at 203 a week ago.....BONE STOCK. I bet I'd only see 2-3whp gain from ANY intake.

For what it'* worth it was only 6 and not 10whp. That seems totally reasonable to me anyway.

I do have to add, so it doesn't sound like I'm bashing Intense...We also tried their FWI on a GTP, and quite honestly there was comparably no difference between the open cone CAI ( that I have always ran with) and the Intense FWI.
