Default Synthetic ATF worth it?

Im in the process of having my 4T60E rebuilt. Is it worht switching to synthetic ATF? Or should I run regular Dexron ATF? Are there addatives that work well with regular ATF instead of using synthetic? What are the your opinions?

Is there any kind of noticeable difference in using the synthetic versus the conventional? Does the trans shift better, run all cooler temps? What would the advantages be to the synthetic?

On paper, synthetic will hold up better to high temps

It certainly can't hurt and it will improve reliability.
I change mine yearly and use synthetic if I can get it.
